Taco Mac & Cheese
Let's taco 'bout this mac & cheese...
Recipe type: Appetizer
Ingredients
  • 1 (7.25-oz.) box macaroni and cheese
  • ¼ c. milk
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • ½ tsp. taco seasoning
  • ½ c. shredded cheddar, Monterey jack, or Mexican cheese blend
  • ½ c. pico de gallo, plus more for serving
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
  1. In a medium pot of boiling water, cook pasta until al dente. Drain pasta.
  2. In the same pot over medium-low heat, add milk and butter and stir until butter is melted. Whisk in powdered cheese packet and taco seasoning. Add pasta and shredded cheese and stir until cheese has melted, then stir in pico de gallo.
  3. Garnish mac & cheese with more pico de gallo and green onions before serving.
