Kiwi Lamb Burger
This kiwi classic is a must! Get everyone to assemble their own, its sure to be messy but extremely tasty.

  • 600g Quality Mark lean lamb mince

  • very finely chopped

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 1 egg
  • lightly beaten

  • 1 slice wheatmeal bread
  • arrow
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • arrow
  • ½ cup feta cheese
  • crumbled
  • arrow
  • ½ cup fresh mint leaves
  • chopped

  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary
  • finely chopped
  • arrow
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • arrow
  • 1 lemon
  • grated zest
  • arrow
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • To serve

  • 6 white bread rolls
  • arrow
  • 6 tbsp tomato relish
  • arrow
  • 6-12 slices beetroot
  • arrow
  • 1 red onion
  • finely sliced
  • arrow
  • 6 fried eggs
  • arrow
  • 2-3 tomatoes
  • sliced
  • arrow
  • 6 tbsp garlic aioli
  • arrow
  • 6 leaves iceberg lettuce
  • leaves can be left whole or shredded
Instructions
  1. Cut crusts off the bread and soak remaining bread in milk.
  2. Place all the patty ingredients, except for olive oil, in a bowl, season with salt and pepper and combine. This is best done by with clean hands.
  3. Shape into 6 patties, cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat a BBQ or frying pan to a medium heat and add oil.
  5. Add patties and fry for a few minutes until crunchy and brown on one side. Press down on the raw side of the burger as it is frying to prevent it from shrinking.
  6. Turn the patties over, reduce the heat to medium low and cook for another 8-10 minutes until cooked through
