Fireball Apple Fritters are the best way to sneak in some extra booze this fall. 😋

Ingredients
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • ¾ c. milk
  • ¼ c. Fireball whisky
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. kosher salt
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 4 pink lady apples
  • 2 c. cinnamon-sugar
  • Caramel, for dipping
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, milk, Fireball, egg, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon and salt.
  2. Into a skillet over medium-high heat, pour about 1" vegetable oil.
  3. Slice apples crosswise into ¼”-thick pieces, and use a teaspoon to hollow out centers.
  4. When the oil is hot, use tongs to dip each apple slice into the batter, then gently lower into the oil. Once the edges of the apple slices are lightly golden, use the tongs to gently flip and cook the other side, about 1 minute more.
  5. Remove apple rings from oil, one at a time, and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease, then toss in cinnamon-sugar.
  6. Serve warm with caramel.
