Ingredients
  • – lemon juice from 1 lemon;
  • – 5 apples;
  • – ½ cup water;
  • – 1 envelope caramel hot chocolate mix (Nestle or Land o Lakes);
  • – ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk;
  • – ¼ cup caramel sauce;
  • – 1 envelope unflavored knox gelatin;
  • – ¼ cup sugar;
  • – 1 cup vodka.
Instructions
  1. After you cut the apples in half, scoop out the inside of them. Place apple halves into cups of a muffin pan and squeeze or brush lemon juice onto cut apples to diminish browning. Put in the refrigerator until filling is prepared. In a saucepan, blend water with hot chocolate mix and whisk until the cocoa dissolves. Add evaporated milk and caramel sauce and continue to whisk. Sprinkle gelatin onto blend smoothly and allow to sit for 2 minutes. Heat the mixture over low heat, whisking slowly, until it just reaches a delicate simmer to ensure gelatin is totally dissolved. Put sugar and simmer gently for about a minute. Let mixture cool to warm and add vodka. Fill each apple cup with caramel jello mixture. Now, refrigerate a few hours. For serving, put apples flesh-down (Jello down) and cut lengthwise in half, then in half again. Enjoy!
